What you’ll be doing
You’ll be given the opportunity to develop your underwriting skills while working closely with a strong broker panel. Your role will include:

• Underwriting new business and renewals for residential strata risks within your delegated authority
• Providing high-quality support and service to an allocated broker panel
• Building strong relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders
• Assessing risks and applying underwriting guidelines
• Developing your understanding of risk selection, pricing and portfolio profitability
• Working with the team to continually improve service standards
• Managing your workload with strong attention to detail and time management

You don’t need to be an experienced Underwriter. We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• 12+ months’ experience in Property Claims, Insurance Customer Service or Underwriting Assistance
• A genuine interest in moving into Underwriting
• Property experience is ideal, but Commercial Motor underwriting assistant experience will also be considered
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A commercial mindset and desire to develop
• A competitive nature and drive to achieve results
• A positive, team-oriented attitude
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation
