This is an opportunity for a commercially minded Underwriter or Business Development Specialist who thrives in a sales-focused environment while bringing technical knowledge in Plant & Equipment or Commercial Motor insurance.

The Role
In this senior position, you’ll play a key role in growing a profitable portfolio by:

• Developing new broker relationships and strengthening existing partnerships.
• Identifying growth opportunities and delivering on sales plans.
• Underwriting and pricing new and renewal business within delegated authority.
• Acting as a trusted partner and technical expert to brokers and colleagues.
• Representing the business at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

About You
You’ll be someone who brings energy and commercial drive, along with:

• A proven background in Plant & Equipment or related Commercial Motor classes
• A strong sales and business development mindset with the ability to influence and negotiate.
• Solid technical underwriting experience and understanding of risk.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Motivation, confidence, and professionalism in everything you do.
